Navigator Global helps clients make sense of the delicate cross section of homeland security issues where the Congress and the Administration meet.
Navigators Global vice president Donald H. Kent Jr. leads the homeland security practice. Mr. Kent is a veteran of the Department of Homeland Security, having served as Assistant Secretary of Legislative Affairs from December of 2006 to September 2008. Prior to joining the department in 2004 as a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, Mr. Kent spent almost a decade on Capitol Hill working in a variety of senior positions for Assistant Republican Leader Senator Don Nickles. In these positions, Mr. Kent contributed to a number of homeland security and non-homeland security issues, including the legislation that created the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA, FAA, Coast Guard and federal highway authorizations. In addition, Mr. Kent managed the Transportation, Energy and Water, and Interior appropriations bills during his tenure in the Senate.
