Rhonda Bentz is a vice president of Navigators based out of the Washington, D.C., office.
Ms. Bentz has more than 15 years of public affairs, corporate and political consulting experience in communications, crisis management, grassroots development, and political, legislative and reputation/image campaigns.
Prior to joining Navigators, Ms. Bentz directed public affairs and served as the media spokesperson on public policy issues for Visa, Inc., in Washington, D.C. In this role, she also developed and managed communications strategies for public policy and legislative issues, issues management, crisis and litigation communications.
In 2000, she was vice president of public affairs for APCO Worldwide, where she designed and implemented communications, grassroots, political, and legislative strategies for issue campaigns.
Ms. Bentz has served in several political roles as a consultant, based primarily in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento, California. In California, she worked on behalf of former Governor Pete Wilson as special assistant to the deputy chief of staff and also served on his 1990 campaign. Ms. Bentz has served as a member of campaign steering committees for U.S. Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) and U.S. Representative Tom Feeney (R-FL), and was a volunteer for the Bush-Cheney campaign and for numerous state and national campaigns. She is currently on the national finance team for Senator John McCain’s Presidential Campaign.
In 2004, she was listed by PRWeek as a “Top 20 In-House Communicator” and currently serves as a presidential appointee to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.
